Patricia McClelland is an Office/Technical Technician at Summit Dental Technologies. She first came to Summit 17 ½ years ago to increase her education and skills in dental lab work, but enjoyed the work, culture, and team so much, she chose to stay. She attended Byron Institute and became a Dental Assistant. She was a Dental Assistant for over 10 years, working under a dentist who practiced as a general dentist, but also specialized in special needs cases. These cases included patients with a variety of oral cancers, patients who have sustained mouth injuries such as gunshot wounds, and patients with cleft palates. Her close work with this demographic of patients piqued her interest and motivated her to learn more which drove her to her work in a dental lab setting. Her favorite thing about working at Summit is the innovative technology and endless opportunities to learn.
Although Patricia is her formal name, her friends call her “Patty” or “Tricia”. She was born and raised in Missouri and currently lives in Wentsville, MO with her husband. She has 3 children: a 30 year-old stepdaughter, a 21 year-old daughter, and a 16 year-old son.
